Ingredients
- 2 pork steaks
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon dry sherry
- 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 yellow onion, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 2 carrots, coarsely grated
- peanut oil
- 1 large clove garlic, chopped
- hot pepper sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved in 6 T chicken broth
Preparation
Step 1
Debone the pork steaks and cut up into small cubes. Marinate in the soy sauce, sherry and ginger.
Fry the drained pork in a little peanut oil and the garlic for about 5 or 6 minutes. Remove the meat from the pan. Add the vegetables and a little more oil. Stir-fry until the vegetables are barely cooked and still crisp. Add the pork, a pinch of salt if desired and a bit of hot pepper sauce. Thicken iwth the dissolved cornstarch.
