Monkey Bread

Use extra large foil muffin cups and make individual servings. Place 5 biscuits in each. Makes 2 dozen. Bake at 400* for 18 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cans Pillsbury Grands Homestyle buttermilk biscuits
  • 1/2 c chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1/2 c raisins(optional)
  • 1 c firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 c butter, melted

Preparation

Step 1

Mix cinnamon and sugar in a large plastic storage bag. Separate 16 biscuits and cut each into quarters. Add to bag and toss to coat. Place in a lightly greased tube pan. Add nuts and raisins. In a small bowl mix brown sugar and butter. Pour over biscuits. Bake at 350* for 28-32 minutes until golden and center is not gooey. Cool for 10 minutes and turn out on a serving plate. Pull apart to serve. Serve warm.
