Rosemary Lemon Chicken

Ingredients

  • 3 Whole chicken legs
  • 1/2 cup Onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp of fresh Lemon juice plus 6 slices of lemon
  • 2 sprig of Rosemary
  • 1 tbsp of minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp of unsalted butter
  • 1 cup of Chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper for seasoning

Preparation

Step 1

1. Wash the chicken and dry them thoroughly.

2. Marinate the chickens in thelemon juice, salt and pepper for 15 minutes.

3. Melt the butter in a cast iron skillet over medium heat.

4. Add the rosemary and lemon slices.

5. Once the flavor comes out from rosemary, place the chicken skin side down and fry until nicely golden brown, about 10 minutes.

6. Flip the chickens and cook for another ten minutes.

7. Take the chicken out.

8. Put it on a plate and keep warm.

9. Preheat oven to 375.

10. Leave 1-2 tablespoons of fat in the pan.

11. Over medium heat sauté the onions and garlic for a minute.

12. Add chicken broth, bring it to boil.

13. Once it begins to boil, place the fried chicken in the skillet.

14. Put a slice of lemon on each chicken pieces.

15. Transfer it to the oven and bake them for an hour or until it cooked well.

16. Take out the skillet and let it sit for 5 minutes.

17. Serve it with mashed potatoes and sautéed veggies.
