Christmas Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup sifted powered sugar
  • 1 cup butter (no substitutions)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/2 cup sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tarter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together sugar and butter. Add egg and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and stir into cream mixture. Refrigerate 2-3 hours. Roll out to medium thickness for soft cookies. Use cookie cutters. Bake at 375 until bottom of cookies are golden brown. (Check the cookies after 8 minutes)
