Sausage Rice Soup

  • 1 package Uncle Ben's wild rice soup (original)
  • 1 lb bulk sausage, crumbled
  • 2 c chopped celery
  • 2 c chopped onion
  • 3 c water
  • 1 can chicken broth
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 5 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
  • 1-2 cans diced tomatoes with onions and garlic



Step 1

Saute sausage and onion. In large saucepan, add water, celery, rice, chicken broth. Add sausage and onion mixture, and cream of mushroom soup. Bring to a boil and simmer for approximately 15 minutes. Add bacon and tomatoes.

It doesn't call for sausage but i added at least 2-3 tablespoons
