Stuffing - Buttery Bread

- 12 cups day-old bread, cubed
- 1 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped
- 3 Tbs parsley, chopped or dried
- 1/4 cup water

Step 1
1. In a large skillet melt butter, add onion and celery; saute until clear.
Add seasonings and water. Stir in bread. Heat through but don't brown.
2. Stuff bird with mixture and bake. Or add 1 cup chicken broth and bake
covered at 350° for 45 min. Remove cover for the last 15 min.
Cooking Tip: 1 lb. Loaf of bread makes about 12 cups when cubed.
Cooking Tip: Only have to double the recipe now for all of us. When Jason
was a teenager and John was eating more, I multiplied the recipe times five
to get enough stuffing!
Comments: This stuffing is our favorite for Thanksgiving turkey.
