Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 F degrees.
In a medium size bowl whisk together the soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, sesame oil and sriracha sauce. Pour over pork chops and let marinade for about 20 minutes.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet for medium high heat. Add pork chops, without marinade, and cook for about 5 minutes for the first side, or until it gets a nice brownish color. Flip the pork chops and pour the remaining marinade over them. Cook another 5 min on this side.
Place the skillet in the oven to finish cooking them. Roast for about 10 minutes, or until pork chops are completely cooked through.
Note: one review of this recipe cautioned to watch the temperature carefully: "Check the internal temps of the pork often! My pork chops must have been much thinner than what was in the recipe because I did 3 minutes on one side and about 4 on the other, and then put the skillet into the oven at 400 for only a minute before my thermometer went off at 140 degrees internal. I took it out of the oven and oh my... it was awesome! Juicy, tasty, and we ate it all."
➜ USDA recommends ALL cuts of whole meat, beef, pork, veal, or lamb, be cooked to an internal temperature of at least 145 degrees, with a 3-minute resting period before serving. Ground meats should be cooked to 160 degrees. All poultry, whole or ground, should be cooked to 165 degrees.
