- 2-1/2 Lb flour
- 1 large yeast cake or 2 small
- 1 or 2 sticks margarine
- 8 Oz sour cream
- 1/4 Cup oil
- 3/4 Cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 Qt milk

Preheat oven to 325 degrees
1)Heat 1/2 qt milk until warm. Remove 1/2 cup and put into small bowl. Add crumbled yeast,1 Tbsp flour and 1 Tsp sugar. Let rise (puffs up in about 20 minutes). Into bowl of milk and yeast,add 1/4 lb butter,1/4 cup oil and 3/4 cup sugar. Stir until dissolved.
2)In mixer,beat 3 eggs,4 tsp salt and 8 oz sour cream until combined. Add yeast mixture to mixing bowl;beat a little. Add 1 cup flour at a time until hard. Take out of mixer and add rest of flour;knead. Let rise 2-3 hours. Knead and punch down. Grease pans. Put dough in pans and let rise until doubled. Bake approx 35 minutes. Let cook on wire rack.
To make dough round,roll 2 strips of dough back and forth. Braid the strips and put in a round ring.
