Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp hot water
  • 2 1/2 tbsp cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • Sliced, slivered or chopped almonds

Preparation

Step 1

In a small bowl, combine butter, hot water, cocoa and almond extract; set aside. In a separate bowl, stir together whipping cream and sugar. Beat on high speed with an electric mixer just until soft peaks form; fold into chocolate mixture. Spoon into dessert dishes or champagne glasses. Chill at least one hour, or until set. Sprinkle with almonds before serving.
