Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 6-7 1/2 cups flour

Preparation
Step 1
Mix 2 Tbsp. yeast with 1/2 cup warm water (do not stir).
Scald: 2 cups milk
Add to milk: 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tsp. salt and 1/2 cup shortening
Add to milk mixture: 2 eggs beaten
Add yeast mixture and 6 -7 1/2 cups flour
Let rise 15-30 minutes. Punch down and let rise again.
