    pounds round steak

  • 2

    Tbsp. butter

  • 1

    large onion, thinly sliced

  • 1

    clove garlic, minced

  • 1

    tsp. Worchestershire sauce

  • 1

    cup grated cheddar cheese

  • 1

    cup white wine

  • 1

    cup beef broth

  • 1

    tsp. soy sauce

  • 1/8

    tsp. pepper

  • 1/2

    cup sour cream

Directions

Cut steak into serving pieces. Dredge steak with flour, season with salt and pepper. Brown on both sides in butter and oil in a heavy pan. Remove steak from pan, add onions, and saute until golden. Stir in garlic, wine, broth, worchestershire sauce and pepper, being careful to stir up all the browned bits from bottom os the pan. Return steak to pan . cover and simmer slowly for an hour or until the meat is very tender. Remove the meat to a platter and keep warm. Stir the cheese into the onions and pan juices until melted, then stir in the sour cream and heat. Do not boil. Pour sauce over meat and serve.
