Bavarian pork loin chops

  • 4-6 pork loin chops, 1 inch thick
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • flour
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1-2 cups mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup sour cream



Step 1

Season chops with salt and pepper; dust with flour. Sear chops and remove excess fat. Add wine and simmer covered for 1 hour. Add mushrooms and cook covered until tender. Remove meat and mushrooms. Heat liquid to a boil, scraping bits from bottom of pan and reducing liquid to 1/2 volume . Lower heat to warm and stir in sour cream.
