Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups butter
- plus more for greasing baking sheet
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips

Preparation
Step 1
heat oven to 325*
grease baking sheet with butter set aside
combine 1 1/4 cups butter and sugar in a upright mixer fitted with a flat beater and mix on medium until mixture is light and fluffy
add eggs and vanilla
combine flour, cocoa powder and salt and add to creamed mixture
turn off mixer and remove mixing bowl
stir in chocolate chips by hand
drop dough by heaping tablespoons
2 inches apart on prepared baking sheets
bake 12 minutes
let stand 2 minutes
remove from sheets and cool completely
