- 3 T. Sugar
- 2 t. Salt
- 2 Pkg. Active Dry Yeast
- 2 C. Luke Warm Water
- 1/4 C. Vegetable Oil
- 1/4 C. Shortening

Step 1
Grease 2 8x4 loaf pans
Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup and level off
In large mixing bowl, combine 2 C. flour, sugar, salt , and yeast, mix well
In small saucepan, heat water and oil until very warm, add contents to flour mix and blend at low speed until moistened, Stir in remaining flour until dough pulls away from side of bowl
On lightly floured surface, knead dough about 10 minutes or until dough is smooth & elastic with blisters under the surface
Place dough in greased mixing bowl and cover with plastic wrap and towel
let rise in warm place until dough is doubled in size (approximately 1.5 hours), punch dough several times to remove all air bubbles, split dough into 2 parts
Preheat oven for 375-degrees
Mold into balls, allow to rest on counter covered by inverted bowl for 15 minutes, shape into 2 loaves and place in greased loaf pans, cover with plastic wrap until dough fills pans (about 1 inch above the edges)
Bake for 45-55 minutes until sounds hollow - remove from pans and cool on cooling rack for 30 minutes
