Chocolate Chip Cookies

The secret is vanilla and tons of chocolate.
These cookies are loaded with chocolate, so they sort of crumble if not packaged with care.
Will keep in airtight container for at least a week, if you can resist them that long. ;)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, *melted*
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp vanilla (more or less)
  • 1 1/4 cups flour, sifted
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 12 oz milk chocolate chips (I like Ghirardelli.)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375F.
Into large bowl, add melted butter through vanilla. Stir until creamy and consistent.
Add flour, baking soda, and chocolate chips. Stir until creamy and consistent.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by spoonful onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 8-10 mins until lightly browned.
Remove from sheet with pancake turner and cool on wire racks.
