Ingredients
- 2 cups shortening
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 (16 ounce) can pumpkin
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ground allspice
- 2 cups raisins
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- Vanilla frosting
Preparation
Step 1
Cream shortening and sugar. Add pumpkin, eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Stir together flour and dry ingredients. Add to batter. Mix well. Stir in nuts and raisins. Drop on greased sheet 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 F 12 - 15 min. Cool. Can frost with vanilla frosting.
