Peanuts shortbread cookies

Adding peanuts and butterscotch nuts to this simple shortbread cookies recipe made it delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • Crushed peanuts
  • Crushed butterscotch nuts (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

In a bowl mix butter and sugar. Add flour to this mixture and knead it. After kneading add crushed peanuts and butterscotch nuts and mix it in the dough.

Flatten the dough with a rolling pin and cut in shapes with cookie cutters. You can also roll the dough in a cylinder shape, refrigerate until the dough becomes hard enough to hold the shape and then slice it into cookies.

Bake in an oven for 20 minutes or until the cookies are baked.
