DOUBLE CHOCOLATE BROWNIE COOKIES

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 9 ounce dark chocolate, chopped into small pieces

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven 375. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt.

In medium sized mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in egg whites, egg and vanilla and thoroughly combined.

Melt dark chocolate in microwave. Mix melted chocolate into wet ingredients a little at a time. Mix in dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips in the batter.

Scoop tablespoons sized balls of dough into lined cookie sheets, spacing cookies 3 inches apart. Press dough balls down slightly with your thumb to flatten tops. Put chocolate pieces in middle. Bake 9 minutes or until set. Serve warm. Store in container for upnto 4 days.
