Ingredients

  • 2 cups warm water (about 120 degrees)
  • 1 packet yeast
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 6 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 Tablespoon salt

Preparation

Step 1

Stir together the water, yeast, and sugar.
Pour the flour, oil, and salt into a mixing bowl. Add the yeast water, and mix with a dough hook until soft dough forms.
Use floured hands to remove the dough from the bowl. Cut the dough into 2 even portions.
Roll each section into itself and make a ball. Place the dough balls on a greased pan.
Cover the dough with a damp towel.
Leave on the counter to rise for 2-3 hours if using it that day. Place the pan in the refrigerator to rise if using the next day.
When it is time to use the dough, flatten, press or toss each ball until it is a large circle. Place on a greased 14 inch pizza screen or pan. Add sauce and toppings. Bake at 425 degrees for 20-22 minutes or until browned to your liking.
