Stuffed French Toast

Ingredients
- 8 slices Texas-type thick bread
- 1 cup cooked ham
- 1 dozen eggs, whipped
- 2 cups milk
- 1/3 cup maple syrup, plus additional to serve
- cinnamon and nutmeg to taste
- 1 package cream cheese (8 ounces), cubed
- Butter
Preparation
Step 1
Cut crusts off bread and cube. Put 1/2 of bread in 9x13 pan. Spread ham over bread. Spread cheese cubes over bread. Add rest of bread, eggs, milk and syrup.
Pour seasoning over mixture. Cover and let sit overnight.
Bake 45 minutes at 375 degrees until firm.
Serve with syrup and butter.
