LUSCIOUS CHOCOLATE CAKE

I make this cake often, because it is delicious and easy to transport. I am frequently asked for the recipe.

Ingredients

  • CHOCOLATE GLAZE:
  • 1 chocolate cake mix, 2 layer size
  • 1 instant chocolate pudding powder, 4 serving size
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • 1/2 warm water
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp butter/margarine

Preparation

Step 1

Combine first 6 ingredients in large bowl. Beat on low to moisten, scraping down sides 2 or 3 times. Beat on medium speeds for 2 minutes

Stir in chocolate chips. Turn into greased and floured 12 cup bundt pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 50 to 60 minutes until an inserted wooden pick comes out clean. Let stand 20 minutes. Invert onto plate or rack to cool.

Chocolate Glaze:
Melt chocolate chips and butter in saucepan over low heat, stirring often. Remove from heat. Spread over top of cake allowing some to run down sides.
