- 1 pkg duncan hines yellow cake mix
- 1/2 c chopped nuts
- 1/2 c water
- 1 stick butter softened
- 1/4 c brown sugar
- 2 eggs
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, water, mix well. add cake mix and nuts
1 large or 2 small cans of mandarine orange segments
1 large can pineapple chunks
1 largei can sliced cling peaches
1 pkg sliced strawberries or raspberries.
2 bananas, opt.
Drain fruit and save the juices
Heat and slightly thicken the fruit juices with 2 T corn starch. Cool completely.
Spread cool whip over cooled cake, 1 large container
arrange fruit as desired on cool whip
Spoon cooled thickened fruit juice over all
Add chopped nuts
Refrigerate at least 24 hours before serving
Any type of fruit can be used. If using all fresh fruit, use canned fruit juices to make glaze
