Ingredients
- 1/2 Lb. Chicken, cut into bite sized pieces
- 2 Cans Condensed soup - Cream of Mushroom & Chicken
- 1/2 head of small cabbage, chopped into Lg. Pieces
- 1 Cup chopped Carrots
- 1 Cup chopped Celery
- 1 Cup chopped Onions
- 4-6 Hot Links Sausage, cut into bite size pieces
- 3/4 Cup Rice
- 4 Cups of Water
- 3 Tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Granulated Garlic
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Pinch of Cumin
Preparation
Step 1
Use a 6 qt or larger soup pot heat over Medium heat, add 2 Tbsp
oil, add the chicken and cook stirring until brown, remove chicken
and set aside, add 1 Tbsp oil to the pot, stir in rice and cook for
1 minute then add the onions, carrots and celery and cook for 1
minute stirring constantly, next add 4 cups water, canned soup,
cabbage, sausages and seasonings, stir, if needed add more water
until you have a stew like consistency, bring to a boil then cover turn heat to
low and simmer for 20 minutes, remove from heat and let stand
15 minutes before serving.
