Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (16 oz)hot roll mix
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbs. olive oil
  • 1 small onion,finely chopped (1/3cup)
  • 1 tsp. dry rosemary
  • 3 tbs. olive oil
  • Sea Salt

Preparation

Step 1

Lightly grease two 9x1 1/2 in round baking pans or one 12 or 13 in pizza pan.
Prepare hot roll mix according to pkg. directions for basic dough, using 1 egg and substituting 2 tbs. olive oil for the margarine called for on the package. Knead dough; allow to rest as directed. If using round baking pans, divide dough in half; roll each half into a 9 inch round. If using a pizza pan, roll dough into a 12 inch round. Place in prepared pan(s); trim excess. Cover and let rise in a warm place until nearly double in size (30 to 40 minutes).
Preheat oven to 375.
Meanwhile in a small skillet cook onion and rosemary in 3 tbs. olive oil until onion is tender. Using your fingertips , press indentations every inch in dough round. Spread onion mixture evenly over dough round. If desired, season with sea salt.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan(s) and transfer to a wire rack; cool.
