Donuts

Ingredients

  • 1 quart scalded milk (4 cups)
  • 10 tbsp sugar (1 cup)
  • 8 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 5 tbsp dry yeast
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 10 - 12 cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

Stir in flour to make a heavy pancake batter. Let rise. Roll out. Cut with donut cutter. Rise once more. Deep fat fry in hot oil glaze.
