Ingredients
- 40 Lady Fingers
- 8 Large egg yolks
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1.5 lbs of marscapone cheese
- 4 large egg whites -- beaten in medium bowl until stiff peaks form
- 1 tsp of almond extract
- 1 cup of strong coffee
- 1 cup of amaretta
- cinnamon sugar
- 1-1/2 cup of sliced almonds
Preparation
Step 1
Beat egg yolks and sugar until thick.
-Fold marscapone cheese into eggs then add egg whites and almond extract. Beat till fluffy and smooth.
-Combine coffee and amaretta in a shallow bowl, dip lady fingers quickly into mixture, one at a time and place a layer of thae close together in a 10x14 dish.
-Spread 1/2 marscapone mixture evenly over lady fingers
-Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and almonds
-Repeat ending with cheese,cinnamon sugar and almonds
- cover with platic wrap and chill 3-4 hours before serving
