Appetizers (Fried Cocktail Onions)

Ingredients

  • 1 (16oz) jar cocktail onions
  • 1/2 Cup Egg Beaters real egg product
  • 1 Cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Garnish:fresh parsley

Preparation

Step 1

1)Drain cocktail onions and pat dry with paper towels.

2)Place egg product in a small bowl. Spoon bread crumbs into a shallow dish. Dip cocktail onions in egg product;draining well. Dredge in bread crumbs.

3)In a large,heavy-bottomed pot or fryer,pour oil to a depth of 2 inches. Heat oil to 365 degrees. Fry onions,in batches,for 2-3 minutes,or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Garnish with parsley,if desired. Serve immediately.
