Ingredients
- 3/4 cup Butter Flavor Crisco Shortening
- 1 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 Tb. milk
- 1 Tb. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnut (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Place sheets of foil on counter top for the cooling of the cookies.
Combine the brown sugar and Crisco and cream together. Add to this the milk and vanilla. Blend well. Beat in the egg. Combine the flour, salt and baking soda in a separate bowl with a wire whisk, then gradually add into the creamed mixture just until blended. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by spoonfuls onto an un-greased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 - 10 minutes. After removing from the oven, let the cookies set for about 1 minutes before removing from the pan. Place the cookies on the sheets of foil for cooling.
