Ingredients
- 1/4 C reserved pineapple juice
- 3 T steak sauce
- 2 T soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp finely grated gingerroot, or 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1 1/2 tsp sesame seeds, toasted
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 C chopped fresh bean sprouts
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 4 canned pineapple slices, drained and juice reserved
Preparation
Step 1
Combine first 5 ingredients. Measure 1/4 C into medium bowl. Set aside remaining pineapple juice mixture as basting sauce.
Add next 3 ingredients to pineapple juice mixture in medium bowl. Mix well. Divide into 4 portions. Shape into 1/2 inch thick patties. Preheat BBQ to medium; cook on greased grill for 5 to 7 minutes per side, brushing with basting sauce, until fully cooked. Transfer to plate; cover to keep warm.
Blot pineapple slices with paper towels. Cook on greased grill for 2 to 3 minutes per side until heated through.
Serve patties, topped with pineapple sliced in buns.
