Rich and creamy a family favorite.
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 lb Mushrooms sliced
- 1/3 cup Flour
- 3 1/2 cups Chicken Stock
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1/4 cup Dry Sherry
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- Black Pepper to Taste
- 1 cup Parmesan Cheese (fresh Grated is best)
- 5 cups Cubed Cooked Chicken
- 1 lb cooked Fettucini Noodles
- 1 red pepper cut up & pre -fried in butter(use butter dripping )
Pre-heat oven to 375..Grease dish with butter well. In a saucepan melt butter,and saute mushrooms for 5 minutes.Stir in the flour and gradually add in the chicken stock and cook stirring constantly until sauce is thickened.Stir in the cream and the cooked red pepper butter dripping from peppers also,sherry and salt and pepper and half of the cheese.Simmer for 5 minutes stirring constantly.Add the cooked fettuchini noodles and stir well.Then sprinkle remaining parmesian cheese over the top.Serve warm.
