Chewy Double Chocolate Cookies

By

A cookie, warm from the oven…all gooey and wonderful…well, that’s my kindfrom of heaven I can tell you that. Just look at that chewy chocolate delight. Delish! These cookies are sweet, fudgy and have an amazing texture. They are loaded with both milk and white chocolate chips and are kind of like eating a brownie, but in a cookie form.

Ingredients

  • 1 C butter, softened
  • 1 C white sugar
  • 1 C dark brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/4 C flour
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 3/4 C cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 C milk chocolate chips
  • 1 C white chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
2. Into your stand mixer or large mixing bowl place the softened butter, white sugar and dark brown sugar. Beat on medium speed until the mixture is well combined (about 2 minutes).
3. Add the eggs and beat for an additional 1 minute. Add the vanilla and beat just until it's mixed in.
4. In a separate bowl combine the flour, soda, cocoa and salt. Add it to the creamed mixture and mix until combined.
5. Add the milk chocolate and white chocolate chips. Mix just until combined.
6. Bake for 7-8 minutes, or just until the tops of the cookies are cracked. You want to be sure not to over bake here. The cookies will be super soft and chewy if they are underbaked just a bit. Remove the pans from the oven and allow them to continue cooking on the hot cookie sheet for 1-2 minutes. Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
Enjoy!
