Ingredients
- 1 lb. round loaf crusty bread
- 20 ounces chopped frozen spinach, thawed -- squeezed dry
- 8 ounces light cream cheese
- 3 tablespoons skim milk
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup pimientos, chopped
- 1/2 cup red onions, chopped
- 4 slices bacon, cooked -- crumbled
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
Preparation
Step 1
For best results, allow loaf of bread to dry out 24 hours in the open air. Remove 1 1/2-inch layer from top of loaf and chop into cubes. Scoop out remaining bread from the loaf and cube. Combine spinach and all remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl and chill for 30 minutes. Servethe dip in the bread bowl and use the cubes as bread dippers.
