slow-cooked lemon chicken

Ingredients

  • 6 bone-in chicken breast halves ( about 3 lbs) skin removed
  • 1 tsp dry oregano
  • 1/2 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1/4 pepper
  • 2 tb butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 3 tb lemon juice2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp chicken bouillion granules
  • 2 tsp minced fresh parsley
  • Hot cooked rice

Preparation

Step 1

1. Pat chicken dry with papter towels. Combine the oregano,seasoned aalt and pepper, rub over chicken
2. in a skillet over medium heat, brown the chicken in bettr, transfer to a 5 quart slow cooker
3. add water, lemon juice, garlic and bouillon to the skillet, bring to a boil, stirring to loosen browned bits. Pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours. Baste teh chicken. Add parsley.
4. Cover and cook 15-30 minutes longer or until meat juices run clear. If desired thicken cooking juices and serve over chicken and rice
