Ingredients
- 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 3/4 c. granulated sugar
- 3/4 c. packed light brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 (12-oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
Step 1
In one bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt to create a bowl of dry ingredients. Set aside. In large mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Gradually beat in dry ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake in preheated 375-degree oven 6-7 minutes or until lightly browned. Put a few layers of news paper on the counter. Place clean paper towels on top of the newspapers. As cookies get done, remove them from the oven and set the hot cookie sheet on the stove a couple of minutes to allow cookies to cool just slightly. With a spatula, remove the cookies from the cookie sheet and put the cookies ont he paper towels to cool. As soon as cookies are cool, put in plastic pags or plastic container and cover so they don't dry out.
