    5-10 Lb Standing Rib Roast

    Tsp. Ground Black Pepper

    Tsp. Garlic Powder


Allow Roast to stand at room temperature for at least one hour. Preheat oven to 375. Combine salt, pepper and garlic powder in a small bowl. Place roast on a rack in a roasting pan so fatty side is up and rib side on bottom. Rub seasonings onto the roast. Roast for one hour in preheated oven. Turn off oven and leave roast inside. Do not open the oven door. Leave in oven for 3-4 hours. 30-40 minutes prior to serving, turn the oven back on to 375 to reheat the roast. The internal temp should be 145. Remove from oven and let rest 10 minutes before carving.
