Ingredients
- 1 pd. penne pasta
- 1/3 to 1/2 cup warm water
- 3 tbs. evoo
- 1 1/2 pds. italian sausage (casing removed) prefer hot sausage
- 1 bunch broccoli rinsed and chopped
- 1 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1 cup pecorino grated
- salt & pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Cook pasta until almost done roughly 1 minute less (save pasta water) when draining after cooking
Heat the oil add the sausage breaking it up and cook for about 8 minutes
Add broccoli season salt and pepper toss it and saute 2 to 3 minutes until tender
Deglaze with reserved pasta water
Add pasta and toss to coat cook l minute remove from heat
Add cheese and a little olive oil toss until creamy
