Zwiebach (German Buns)

Ingredients

  • 4 c. milk
  • 1 lb marg.
  • 4 tsp. salt
  • 4 tsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. yeast
  • 13-14 c. flour

Preparation

Step 1

Scald milk,butter,salt,and sugar in microwave. Add to the bosch, add in 3 cups of flour and yeast and mix. Continue to add flour till the dough pulls away from the side of the bowl. Let rise till double in bulk, punch down and let rise again. Make into buns.One normal size dough ball and a smaller one on top.Let rise once more about 30 min and bake 375 for 30-40 min.
