Ingredients

  • 3/4 cups of butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 3/4 tsp cloves
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy, add molasses and egg and beat well.

Sift together dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture and mix thoroughly. Roll into small balls and dip in sugar. Bake for 15 minutes in a 350 oven.
