- 1 c. (half pound) softened sweet butter
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs (pinch of salt)
- 1 c. (1/2 pint) sour cream
- 3 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Step 1
In a large bowl beat butter until creamy. Add sugar slowly. Add eggs one at a time, scrape down sides of bowl. Blend in sour cream. Add flour and baking powder, blending well with each addition. Add vanilla.
Pour into well-buttered and floured Bundt pan. Bake at 325 degrees for at least 1 hour before opening oven. Cool and remove from pan after 5 minutes.
