Creamsicle (Tamar)

Ingredients

  • Middle Layer:
  • 2 8 oz containers of dessert whip
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 6 T light Karo syrup
  • 3 T vanilla
  • 1 c confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 dessert whip
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 4 oz orange juice concentrate
  • 1 c confectioners sugar
  • Food coloring (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Whip until high volume. Add the egg whites and continue to beat at high speed. Add egg yolks, karo syrup, vanilla, and sugar. Freeze half of mixture in 9x13 pan. Keep other half in the fridge.

Middle Layer: Whip and set aside. Whip egg whites with sugar. Add to whip: yolks, OJ, and confectioners’ sugar (add 2-3 drops of food coloring).

Freeze with second layer for 6 hours.
