Good-For-You Choc-Oat Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup flour (1/2 white and 1/2 wheat)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/4 cups dark brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3/4 cup flax seed
  • 1 cube butter
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups oats (quick is better)
  • 2 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups craisins
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Beat sugar, butter and applesauce, add eggs and vanilla.

Mix flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon.

Add flour mixture to liquid mixture, add flaxseed and mix.

Add oats, chocolate chips, craisins and nuts.

Mix well and drop by spoonful on greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375 F for 10 - 12 minutes.
