Ingredients

  • 1 (1 lb) packages gnocchi
  • 3 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup milk, warmed
  • 1-1/4 cups grated fontina cheese
  • 1 cup freshly grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Cook gnocchi in a large stockpot of boiling water, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Mix cornstarch and chicken broth, set aside. Heat butter in large saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and saute 1-2 minutes. Stir cornstarch mixture, and whisk until combined. Add milk, and whisk until combined. Continue cooking, whisking constantly, until the mixture reachs a low boil. Then remove from heat, and stir in cheeses until there are melted and smooth, Season the sauce with salt and pepper, to taste.

Combine gnocchi and cheese sauce in pan. Serve immediately.
