Turkey Barley Soup

My sister created this amazing soup, full of healthy and filling ingredients. Tastes even better the next day.

Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 1 c. barley
- 1 yellow onion, chopped
- 2-3 cans chicken broth
- 1 can Hunt's tomato sauce
- 1 can black beans
- 1/2 tbsp. minced garlic
- Creole seasoning
- Curry powder
- Chili powder

Preparation
Step 1
Brown turkey in large pot until no longer pink. Add garlic and onion and cook on medium heat until onions are tender. Add 2 cans of chicken broth and barley and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, add black beans and tomato sauce. Season to your liking (we like 1-2 tsp. of each). Simmer for a half hour, adding more chicken broth, if necessary, to achieve your desired consistency.
Sprinkle with cheese and/or top with a dollop of sour cream if desired.
