Marble Loaf

  • 1 box vanilla instant pudding
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extrac
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup hot water

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350F and grease a loaf baking pan. In a bowl, mix together the flour, vanilla pudding mix, baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl, whip together the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla extract with an electric mixer until it turns yellow. Beat in half of the milk and half of the flour mix. Beat in the remaining milk and flour. Beat until the batter is creamy and smooth. In a small bowl, mix together the cocoa and the hot water until well mixed. Pour about 1/3 of the cake batter, into the cocoa mix and whisk together until smooth and well combined. Pour the light batter into the loaf pan and then pour the cocoa batter on top. Using a fork, lightly stir in the cocoa, creating a marble pattern. Bake the loaf for 45-55 minutes and let cool for 15 minutes before serving.
