Ingredients
- 1/2 C chopped onion
- 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup.
- 3 T sour cream
- 1 lbs onion tater tots
- 1/2 C water
- 2 T real bacon bits
- 2 C finely shredded Mexican style four cheese
- 1/4 t black pepper
- 1 T chives
- 2 slices Velveeta cheese cut into 1/4 " strips

Step 1
Layer 9x9 greased casserole dish with frozen tater tots.
In a bowl, combine soup onion, sour cream, pepper, and water . stir until smooth. Pour evenly to cover tater tots. Smooth with back of spoon. Sprinkle with bacon bits and chives on top.Lay Velveeta strips in 2 rows 1" apart. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
Cover dish with aluminum foil. Bake 1/2 hour at 350 degrees. Remove foil and bake an additional. 1/2 hour
