Ingredients

  • 1 lb. self rising flour
  • 1 T. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 3/4 c. buttermilk

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Mix salt, flour & baking soda into bowl. Make well in center of flour & gradually add
buttermilk, drawing flour in from sides of bowl until well mixed. Turn dough onto floured counter top & knead
lightly for several min. Shape into 8” circle, place on baking sheet & bake 25-30 min until golden brown.
Brush w/ butter.
