Ziti ( one of moms favorite casseroles)

Ingredients
- 3/4 pound dry Ziti or Penne pasta
- 1 1/2 tbs. olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. fresh rosemary, minced
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork sausage (Owens)
- 2 jars Prego Spaghetti Sauce
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup cottage cheese
- 1 (6oz) pkg. mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 tbs. freshly grated Parmesan Cheese

Step 1
Preheat Oven to 350
Bring large pot of water to boil. Cook pasta until al dente; drain.
Meanwhile, heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until tender. Stir in rosemary and garlic. Transfer to a small bowl.
Place ground beef and sausage in the skillet and cook until evenly brown. Stir in onion mixture and the spaghetti sauce. Season with salt. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
Grease a 13x9 inch pan. I usually make this into 2 pans so they are not so full. I can put the extra one in the freezer and bake at a later time.
In the prepared pan layer 1/2 of the pasta.
Mix together the sour cream, cottage cheese and Mozzarella cheese.
Layer half of the cheese mixture on top
of pasta, add a little less than half of the meat sauce. Then layer the rest of the pasta, cheese mixture and then the rest of the meat sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Bake until hot and bubbly.
