Pumpkin Hummus

Ingredients
- 1 (15 ounce)can chickpeas
- 2 peeled garlic cloves, minced
- 3-5 tbs lemon juice
- 1 1/2 cups canned pumpkin
- 1 1/2 tbs tahini
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 3/4 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- salt and pepper to taste

Step 1
Drain 1(15 ounce) can of chickpeas. In the bowl of a food processor, mince 2 peeled garlic cloves. Add chickpeas, 3-5 tbs lemon juice, 1 1/2 cups canned pumpkin, 1 1/2 tbs tanini and 2 tbs olive oil. Process until smooth. Add 3/4 tsp cumn, 1/2 tsp chili powder and salt and freshly ground pepper to taste. Process to combine thoroughly. Taste and adjust seasonings if necessary. Serve with pita bread or chips. Makes about 2 2/3 cups.
