Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2 oz.(70 g.) unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup buttermilk, room temperature
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup malted milk powder
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. fine salt
- 5 oz. (150 g.) milk chocolate chunks
- 1/3 cup malted milk chocolate balls
Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. and grease 6 mini loaf pans.
2. Melt butter and unsweetend chocolate together in microwave, stirring every 10 seconds. Let stand 5 minutes. Whisk buttermilk, egg and vanilla into butter mixture. In a separate bowl, sift flour, sugar, malted milk powder, baking powder and salt. Make a well in centre of dry ingredients and pour in butter mixture. Stir just until blended. Fold in milk chocolate chunks and malted milk balls and spoon into prepared loaf pans. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until a tester inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool 15 minutes, then turn onto rack to cool completely.
