Wonton Soup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 ” pc. gingerroot, peeled
  • 2 green onions
  • 2 tbsp. water
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp. soya sauce
  • 3 c. ground pork
  • 30 wonton wrappers
  • 8 c. chicken broth

Preparation

Step 1

Grate gingerroot using small holes on grater and slice green onion as thinly as possible. Set aside.

Combine water with cornstarch in small mixing bowl and mix together. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl combine ground pork together with half the green onions, all the gingerroot, cornstarch mixture and soya sauce. Mix well. Spoon 1 tbsp. of filling into each wonton wrapper. Fold together.

Pour chicken broth in pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add wontons and simmer for 10 minutes. Turn off heat and add remaining green onion.

Serve at once.
